How to build a sustainable fashion supply chain

management sustainability Feb 15, 2026

Special event from Fashion Bytes (click here to register) about a topic that no start up or established brand can ignore:

Beyond the Label: Unpacking Fashion’s Supply Chain and Sustainability
Tuesday, 17 February 2026 | 7pm | Century Club

Expect a forward-thinking discussion on supply chain, transparency, circular innovation and responsible fashion growth in London.

Fashion has always been about expression. But today, expression without responsibility is no longer enough.

On Tuesday 17 February at 7pm, FASHION BYTES brings together industry leaders for a powerful conversation on how creativity and commercial success can align with sustainability, transparency and long-term resilience.

The fashion supply chain is no longer a backstage function. It is the brand.

From fibre sourcing and manufacturing to logistics, retail, digital infrastructure and after-sales service, every decision impacts profitability, reputation and environmental footprint. And importantly, supply chain is not only about physical products — it also includes services: people, information and processes including logistics providers, digital platforms, sustainability consultants, packaging partners, repair services and recycling systems. The ecosystem matters.

The evening will welcome:

Lauren Junestrand
Innovation & Sustainability Network Manager at UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT)

Lauren leads major collaborative sustainability initiatives including the Circular Fashion Innovation Network and cross-sector academic-industry projects focused on UK recycling infrastructure and sustainable manufacturing. With a PhD in sustainable fashion consumption from London College of Fashion, she brings both strategic and technical depth to the conversation around circularity and innovation.

Thierry Bayle
Founder of Global Fashion Management and the London Fashion Business Academy.

With over two decades of international experience across wholesale, retail, trade shows and brand transformation, Thierry specialises in bridging creativity with commercial performance. As creator of the CHIC Programme, a 12-month structured acceleration model for fashion brands, he works globally to help designers, founders and, scaling-up SMEs move from reactive decision-making to structured growth.

What should we explore?

How transparent should supply chains really be?

What does circularity mean in operational terms — not just marketing?

How can SMEs implement sustainable practices without destroying margins?

What infrastructure does the UK need to compete globally?

How do service providers (logistics, digital tools, compliance experts) shape sustainability outcomes?

How to manage governance?

This is not a theoretical debate. It is about practical action.

For designers and founders, sustainability is no longer a “nice-to-have.” It affects:

  1. Cost structure
  2. Investor confidence
  3. Retail partnerships
  4. Consumer trust
  5. Export readiness

Whether you are building a product-based brand or delivering fashion-related services, the discipline behind your supply chain will determine whether you scale sustainably — or struggle operationally.

This evening is designed as a collaborative space for creative entrepreneurs, designers and changemakers to connect, challenge assumptions and gain strategic clarity.

Spaces are limited. If you are serious about building a resilient fashion business, this is a room you want to be in.

GFM Founder, Thierry Bayle, will happily answer all questions even if the topic is outside the supply chain and sustainability focus.
