Is Facebook here for forever - What are you doing about it?

The Facebook/ Instagram and WhatsApp servers are down for a few hours. You cannot access your favourite social media platform and even the employees at Facebook cannot access their emails.

Let's remind ourselves about Jeff Bezos' (Founder of Amazon) reply to an employee concerned about the risk of large oprganisations closing down like Sears.

"Amazon is not too big to fail ... In fact, I predict one day Amazon will fail ..." and he adds "Amazon will go bankrupt. If you look at large companies, their lifespans tend to be 30-plus years, not a hundred-plus years ...".

What is the call for action for today?

1. Don't rely on just one platform

2. Send your followers to your website or platform and start collecting emails or phone numbers to connect with them directly. Don't depend on whether the external platform (facebook, twitter, instagram, tik tok ...) to send you paid clients for free.

3. Plan the unexpected and what will you do if the plaform must disappear tomorrow.
