Open call to designers

Fashion Week Brooklyn × Global Fashion Management  ·  London, October 2026

The runway is the start.
Not the finish.

Show your collection in London this October with Fashion Week Brooklyn - and with the business layer almost every designer is missing. Built in from day one, not sold to you afterwards.

BK Style Foundation, New York - twenty years of platforming the designers the industry overlooked.  ·  Global Fashion Management, London - twenty-five years, five continents, from Versace to first collections.

Apply for October 2026

Most designers walk off a runway with photographs and no orders.

Not because the collection was wrong. Not because the show was badly produced. Because nobody prepared the business behind it.

The lights go down. The photographs are beautiful. The Instagram numbers move for about four days. And then Monday arrives, and there is no pricing structure a buyer can work with, no line sheet, no terms, no follow-up sequence, and no clear answer to the only question a buyer actually asks: can I sell this at a margin that works, and will you still be here in eighteen months to reorder?

That is not a talent problem. It is a preparation problem. And it is entirely fixable - but only before the show, not after it.

Every fashion week funds A.
Every incubator funds C.
Almost nobody funds B.

A - Awareness

Fashion weeks, trade shows, press, export missions.

Consistently funded.

B - Business

Pricing architecture, cash flow, wholesale strategy, negotiation, follow-up discipline.

Rarely funded. Almost never taught.

C - Creativity

Design education, incubators, competitions, product development.

Consistently funded.

A stool with two legs does not stand.
Neither does a creative business.

This partnership exists because Rick Davy and Thierry Bayle arrived at the same conclusion from two different directions. Fashion Week Brooklyn has spent nearly twenty years building the platform and the audience. Global Fashion Management has spent twenty-five years building the business layer underneath brands that had everything except that. For October 2026, you get both in the same room.

What you get - three phases, one outcome

Every other fashion week sells you Before and During. The third column is the one that changes your season.

Before

Diagnose

  • A free fifteen minute honest read before you commit a penny
  • Business readiness check against the GFM diagnostic
  • Pricing and margin sanity test - wholesale, retail, landed cost
  • Line sheet and buyer-ready pack reviewed line by line
  • One commercial objective for October, agreed in writing

During

Show

  • Your fifteen minute runway slot, produced by Fashion Week Brooklyn
  • Press, buyer invitations, photography and content capture
  • How to work the room - the ninety second buyer conversation
  • What to carry, what to say, what never to say on price
  • Your contact list built on the night, not three weeks later

After

Convert

  • The forty-eight hour follow-up window most designers waste
  • The 4 Cs of wholesale - Contact, Connect, Convert, Cherish
  • A ninety day execution plan with named actions and dates
  • One group debrief with every designer in the cohort
  • Optional continued monthly mentoring from GFM

Two questions before you apply

1.  What is the one commercial outcome you want from this show?

2.  What happens on the Monday morning after it?

If you cannot answer both, you are not ready to pay for a runway - and we will tell you so. That conversation costs nothing and it is the most valuable fifteen minutes of the whole process. We would rather you show next season and convert than show this season and disappear. That is what being told the truth is worth.

Who this open call is for

First collection to third season

£0 to £200k

Working alone or with an intern. You have the product and the vision. You have never had a proper commercial plan sitting behind a show.

Growing and stretched

£200k to £1.5M

Five to ten people, no real management layer. You want UK or US entry and you cannot afford a wasted season or a wasted budget.

Established, testing a market

£1M and above

You have a team. London is a controlled test for a new territory and you need numbers that justify the decision either way.

The two people behind this

Fashion Week Brooklyn

Rick Davy, founder and creative director

Founded in 2006 under the BK Style Foundation, a registered non-profit. Rick built FWBK for the designers the industry overlooked, and spent nearly twenty years proving the gatekeepers wrong.

Diversity on the runway before it was fashionable to say so. A designers exchange programme carrying talent across borders in both directions. Coverage in the New York Times, Vogue and Elle for brands nobody had heard of the season before.

Manhattan has the beat. Brooklyn has the vibe. This October, both come to London.

Global Fashion Management

Thierry Bayle, founder

Twenty-five years, five continents. Work with CK, DKNY, Kenzo, Monnalisa, Moschino, Sergio rossi, Smalto, and Versace, and with designers presenting their very first collection. Full profit and loss responsibility in London and New York.

The industry calls GFM Doctor Fashion for one reason: we diagnose before we prescribe. We ask the question nobody asked, and we tell you what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear.

One client put it better than we could: "you care more about my business than I do".

“I started this in 2006 because talented people in my community could not buy their way into fashion week. Twenty years later, the runway is not the problem any more. We can put anybody on it. What I have watched, season after season, is designers walking off that runway with nothing to do next. That is the part I could never fix on my own. Working with Thierry will make a difference to every designer serious about taking his advice and reaching their goals.”

Rick Davy

Founder and creative director, Fashion Week Brooklyn and BK Style Foundation

“Rick has spent twenty years building the room. My job is to make sure the designer knows what to do when they are standing in it, and on the Monday morning after, when the lights are off and a buyer is quietly deciding. A runway does not sell a collection. It creates the conditions in which one can be sold. Everything we do together is about closing that gap. Without Rick, we would not have the talent to put incredible shows like the ones he does.”

Thierry Bayle

Founder, Global Fashion Management and the London Fashion Business Academy

Four things nobody tells you before you book a runway

  • A show does not sell your collection. It creates the conditions in which it can be sold. What you do with those conditions is the whole game.
  • Execution beats strategy, every time. The brands that convert are not the ones with the best deck. They are the ones who send the follow-up on the Monday.
  • The three-season myth costs small brands years and tens of thousands. A buyer needs one reason to trust you, not three years of watching you turn up.
  • If a runway is the wrong spend for you right now, we will say so and tell you what to do instead. That is the point of having us in the room.
